Piggy Banks are Empty, Caregiver Tax Credit is Urgent

Almost a decade ago, AARP research group estimated that caregivers spend on average, $7,000 out of their own pocket on a loved one’s care. That was before COVID. Let that sink in.
Honestly, today’s caregivers can’t afford a piggy bank. They are living on robbing retirement accounts, credit card debt, line of credit, and/or multiple mortgages on the only solid(?) asset they possess.
We need a federal caregiver tax credit like the child tax credit. Pass the #creditforcaring act SB925 and H2036.
